Storytime at the Museums: In the Kitchen
Time: 10:30 am (30-45 min)
Hosted in the historic kitchen at the Durant-Kenrick House, preschoolers and their caregivers will learn about how food went from seed to table before supermarkets and refrigeration.

We will read Growing Vegetable Soup by Lois Ehlert, and then children will be given the opportunity to plant seeds pots to bring home and watch grow.

Our bi-weekly Storytime program engages kids 18 months to 6 years old by focusing on play, Newton's history, literacy, and lessons from our museums.
Each 30-45 minute program includes reading from a children's book, an activity, a museum takeaway, and access to the museum afterward.
Families are welcome to bring snacks for their kids.
