Summer Puppet Adventures : Get ready to blast off, set sail, and soar through summer with our annual adventure series! Featuring skillful puppetry, original music, hilarious dance breaks, and plenty of fake mustaches.

8-year-old Howard and 80-year-old Lillian must rush to save a monkey who is about to land on Earth from outer space.

Their unexpected friendship help them overcome obstacles and self-doubts as they travel through tunnels, fly through the air, and sneak past dangerous lasers.

But will they make it in time?

Find out in this sublimely silly new show featuring skillful puppetry, original music, hilarious dance breaks, and plenty of fake mustaches.

Liz Hara is a writer, builder, and puppeteer.

Her
work has been presented at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, the New
Orleans Fringe Festival, the National Puppetry Festival, and theaters
across the U.S.

Liz also toured internationally with Wakka Wakka’s
production of SAGA.

Liz has built puppets and costumes for Mirror Mirror (Miramax, 2012,) Avenue Q, The Lion King, and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

She currently works for Sesame Street as a puppet and costume builder and wrangler.

Marta Mozelle MacRostie is a playmaker, puppeteer, and builder.

Performance credits include: Puss in Boots (Moises Kaufman, Gotham Chamber Opera & Blind Summit), Baby Universe (Wakka Wakka Productions), Lemony Snicket's The Composer is Dead (Phantom Limb Company), and Banksy's Sirens of the Lambs.

Marta's work has appeared at cabarets and slams across the country.

Keep your eye out for her show for adults, Close to Decline, which will be touring in 2016.

Liz and Marta met at a puppet slam in 2009.

Their professional collaboration and
ongoing friendship are based on complementary skillsets, driving ambition, and
a mutual love of fart jokes.

They were inspired to created Help Save the Monkey!

by their belief in the importance of intergenerational relationships and
a desire to offer family audiences something extremely silly.

This show premiered in the 2015 New York Children’s Theater Festival, and was developed with the generous support of a 2014 Standard ToyKraft Artist Residency, and a 2014 Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant.
