ACT Presents a Crossroads of Two of Children’s Favorite Characters
Two of literature's most unforgettable young ladies get mixed up together in a magical meeting that produces hilarious results. On May 16th and 17th, the Arlington’s Children Theater (ACT) performs Dorothy Meets Alice or the Wizard of Wonderland written by Joseph Robinette and directed by Kate Wisnioski.
Join ACT's talented cast of children aged 7 through 11, with familiar characters from those enduring classics The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland: the Cowardly Lion, the White Rabbit, the Tin Man, the Mad Hatter, the Scarecrow, the Dormouse, the Queen and the Wicked Witch. This fun-filled romp follows Alice and Dorothy and their coteries as they try to unscramble their stories with the help of a contemporary young lad who started the whole thing to begin with when he put off a book report until the very last minute.
The production opens at Arlington’s Masonic Temple, 19 Academy Street, on Friday May 16th at 7:00 PM and Saturday May 17th at 2:00 PM. The Masonic Temple is located right off of Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Center. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through http://ACT.arlington.ma.us, or by phone at 781-874-9841; tickets will also be sold at the door the day of the show, depending on availability
