Join a ground-floor tour of the 1806 mansion with a focus on butler to the Gores Robert Roberts.

Roberts was the author of the domestic guide The House Servant's Directory and a prominent member of Boston's early African American community.

The tour includes views of the Great Stairs, Dining Parlor, Library, Withdrawing Room, Great Hall, and Butler's Chamber.

Tours are ongoing and last 20 minutes.

Admission is $5 per person.

Gore Place members admitted free of charge.

No reservations necessary.

DIRECTIONS: Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street in Waltham, Massachusetts just off Route 20. From I-90 (Mass Pike) take exit 17 to Watertown Square. Turn left onto Route 20 (Main Street). Travel 1~1/4 miles to Gore Street. From Route 128/I-95 exit 26 to Route 20 east (Main Street) 3~1/2 miles to Gore Street.
