Boston Mamas is a one-stop parenting portal for families in Boston and beyond. Independently operated since 2006, the site covers local finds, cool products, and editorial on a wide range of topics such as parenting, green living, fitness, crafts, recipes, fashion, and travel. The site also features a directory of local mom-owned businesses and a local mom interview series titled Boston Mamas Rock! Boston Mamas has been featured in Woman’s Day, The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, NPR, ABC News, and other fine media.
Boston Mamas is run by Christine Koh, a former academic (she has a Ph.D. in music and brain science) turned freelance writer, editor, and designer. She is the founder and editor of Boston Mamas, the designer behind Posh Peacock, writes a personal blog at Pop Discourse, and pens the column Minimalist Mama. She resides in the Boston area with her husband and 6-year-old daughter and is expecting her second child in March 2011. She tweets about it all at @bostonmamas.
