Family Photography
Her goal is to capture the essence of children and families in familiar, natural surroundings. In her images she explores the humorous and poignant interactions between family members, as well as the expressions that are unique to each individual. She usually photographs people in their homes or at suggested locations, creating an atmosphere that is spontaneous and relaxed. She also photographs in her studio, and has a lovely outdoor area that is ideal for portraits.
Pricing
For a photography session and 8x10 portrait, you can expect to pay between $450 and $600, depending on the number of people photographed. Session price includes a CD-ROM disk with all your low-resolution proofs.
Photo Restoration
Photographs are links from the past to the future. When they become faded or damaged, you may feel as if you have lost a part of yourself. Now, digital technology allows for the salvage of photos that once were considered irretrievable.

- Remove a pesky 'persona non grata' from a family photo
- Remove unwanted background objects
Original photographs remain untouched. All work is done on a digital file, and is output to photographic-quality paper.

About Gretje Ferguson
Gretje's passion for people, the Arts and the human condition has fueled her photographic journey for more than 25 years. She has photographed hundreds of Canadian and U.S. artists and business executives, has been published in more than 50 international magazines, and has shown her work in one-woman exhibitions across Canada and the Eastern United States.
Her recent project, Confronting Cancer: Images of Strength and Hope, highlights the strength and optimism shared by many people undergoing cancer treatment. 'Gay Dads and their Kids' shows the warmth and commitment of alternative families. She has documented galas that included Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the King and Queen of Sweden, and photographed productions of Law & Order, award-winning films Intermezzo and Palookaville, plus hundreds of symphony and theatrical performances. Her portraits of prominent cinematographers have appeared in international full-page color ads for Kodak motion picture film. She was the only media photographer permitted to document the making of the United Nations 50th Anniversary portrait of 186 diplomats.
She has two grown children and lives with her husband in Dedham, where she runs a portrait studio.
