Others to Consider: Sorrento's Brick Oven Pizza, Bertucci's, Santarpios, La Groceria Ristorante Italiano, The Flatbread CompanyKrueger Flatbread, a relatively new restaurant located next to the train station in downtown Haverhill, has gained a local following for its gourmet flatbread pizzas cooked in a wood-fired stone oven.
All pizzas are cooked to order and are available with a variety of toppings, such as grilled sirloin steak tips and caramelized onion; oven-roasted chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese and pesto sauce; and buffalo chicken.
In addition to pizza, the dinner menu includes calzones, salads (appetizer and dinner-sized), soups (including seafood chowder), and appetizers such as antipasto and spinach dip. The lunch menu consists of sandwiches, such as a tuna melt and Chicken Cordon Bleu; soups and salads; and individual, 10-inch flatbread pizzas. Lunch is served from open to 3:00 pm, and dinner is served from 3:00 pm to close.
The dining room is quite spacious and every table has a view of the huge oven. Children are given a coloring book and a big cup of crayons to pass the time, and adults are welcome at the bar. There isn't a children's menu, per se, but it's not necessary to have a separate menu in a restaurant that serves pizza!
