Bonkers Funhouse PizzaFondue is a fun family dining experience - best suited for families with kids that are at least of elementary school age or older depending on the maturity level of the children. We brought an 8 year old and a 6 year old to the restaurant to try it out. The 8 year old did great. The 6 year old did fine as well but got a little fidgety. Keep in mind that fondue involves hot pots of cheese and other foods, so you definitely need to make sure your kids have enough self-control to keep their hands off the hot pots.
We started with 2 of the cheese fondues, which were both excellent. These included the Cheddar Fondue and the Spinach and Artichoke Fondue. These were followed by a salad course - we had the California salads, which again were excellent.
Our main course was the Big Night Out Lobster Dinner, which included 2 lobster tails, sushi-grade tuna, shrimp, chicken, pork, dumplings, and vegetables. We enjoyed the main dish items, but felt that the flavoring of the fondue broth was just a little overpowering. We had one of the more heavily flavored broths, so the plain broth or the oil may offer a different experience.
For dessert, we had the Banana Foster fondue, which was amazing - we would definitely do that one again!
The service was good at the beginning of our meal, but it slowed down after the main course and it took quite a while for us to get our dessert and then to get the check. This was a definite minus as sitting around for a long while with young kids gets to be a challenge.
Despite the slow service toward the latter half of the meal, we really enjoyed the experience, and the kids thought it was fun and exciting too - more fun than going to a regular restaurant, because it was a meal and an activity in one!

- If you have your kids with you, remind your waiter at the beginning to keep the courses moving along - especially if you order a multi-course dinner like the Big Night Out
