Walk through the doors of Vincenzo's Ristorante, and one quickly forgets that this restaurant is located in a suburban strip mall. The walls of the roomy dining area are decorated brightly with murals inspired by Vincent Van Gogh masterpieces, and the air is filled with tantalizing aromas.

The menu at Vincenzo's is contemporary Italian, with olive oil, roasted vegetables, asiago cheese, and balsamic vinegar being a few of the staple ingredients.

The restaurant specializes in pastas of many shapes and sizes, served in large, shallow pasta bowls, as well as a variety of creative dishes. Salads are fresh and simple.

Kids eat free on Mondays at Vincenzos in West Concord.

Down The Tubes, Sat 2 Feb 2008

Contrary to the rose-colored summary (maybe paid by the restaurant to post a nice blurb), this place reminds one very much that it's in a suburban strip mall. I won’t recommend this place as the food quality is uneven and the prices are very high. The owner, Vinny, is absent and this shows in the poor quality of the food and service. Problems are handled by blaming the customer or making excuses. Last time I was there they were only half-filled on a Saturday night at 7:00 – word is out that they are going down the tubes.

Hit or Miss, Mon 19 Feb 2007

This place SHOULD be much better than it is. Occasionally you get a nice dish - but it's so hit and miss that we don't plan on going back Overall, the food is just okay - and at moderately high prices, just okay doesn't cut it. They overcook the fried foods (chicken parm, etc..) and are way heavy on the garlic. The service should also be more attentive. On the bright side, the decor is casual and fun with Van Gogh paintings all over. It is kid friendly, in that they have high chairs and a kids menu, however, service is sort of slow so active kids will get restless fast.
