Travel back in time at the Adams National Historical Park, where you'll visit the birthplaces of not one, but two U.S. presidents: John Adams and his son, John Quincy Adams.

The Quincy main library is a very nice facility that was greatly expanded a few years back and it has recently upgraded its active program of children's reading and general fun activities.


 U.S. Naval Shipbuilding Museum & USS SalemQuincy, 617-479-7900, $
The USNSM is home to the USS Salem, the world's only preserved Heavy Cruiser, the Navy's most powerful class of cruisers in the world. Overnight Adventures onboard give families a true hands-on naval experience!

Known as the 'Church of the Presidents,' this historic church was built from Quincy granite in 1828. Tours of the church include a visit to the Adams Family crypt.


 USS Salem at the Naval Shipbuilding MuseumQuincy, 617-479-7900, $$
The main attraction here is the USS Salem, a heavy cruiser built at the Quincy shipyard where it is displayed. Tours of the ship take about an hour.

Wollaston Beach is the largest Boston Harbor beach, providing more than one and a half miles of shoreline access. This urban beach features a continuous walkway, seawall, and concession stands on the land side of Quincy Shore Drive.
