Looking for a radio show whose playlist includes 'Teddy Bear Picnic,' and 'Pink Piggie Polka Pancake Picnic?' And whose most requested artist is Weird Al Yankovic? Then tune into 88.9 FM on Saturdays and Sundays from 5-8PM for a total treat.

For over 10 years the Playground has been playing the best local, national, and international kids artists as well as classic hits, Broadway showtunes, movie and TV show theme songs, and more. Be sure to listen for live performances by local artists Ben Rudnick, SteveSongs, and Brian Doser.

  • WERS has a lot of broadcast power, and 88.9 FM can be picked even miles from Boston. The Playground is particularly helpful for Saturday and Sunday evening car rides. Check it out!

5-starScreen-free Entertainmnent
Listening to 'The Playground' keeps us entertained on weekend nights as a wonderful alternative to watching. Radio listeners of many ages call in requests, so you may hear music beyond preschool tastes. In general, though, songs are okay for little kids and very entertaining. The 'Hampster Dance' may be an acquired taste, but we've come to love it!
