The event will announce the winner of the 2012 $30,000 Lemelson-MIT Student Prize, as well as winners from other Lemelson-MIT Collegiate Student Prize Schools: Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The Lemelson-MIT Student Prize winner and finalists will present their work during the ceremony, preceded by a reception and showcase displaying their inventions.
