Second, third, and fourth grade students will take home their own masterpiece based on the style and process studied.
The classes will be taught by Tenacre art teacher Molly Curry and Tenacre technology teacher Melissa Roper.
January 5: Winter Landscapes
In this workshop, students will learn how to create a winter landscape showing light, shadow, and perspective. They will explore texture, color, space, and composition. All students will leave with a completed painting inspired by winter in New England!
January 12: Making Scribble Bots
In this workshop, students will merge art and technology to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
January 26: Jim Dine Hearts
In this workshop, students will learn how to create a heart inspired by artist Jim Dine, exploring texture, color, space, and composition. All students will leave with a completed mixed media 2-D artwork and small sculpture.
All classes will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. in Tenacre’s art studio.
