Head to Kendall/MIT Open Space for a free midday event pairing live music with practical bike care.The Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective curates a set of live hip-hop and R&B, creating an easygoing outdoor soundtrack for a lunchtime break.
Alongside the music, a bicycle technician from Casa Bikes will offer free safety check ups.
Mechanics will look over the drivetrain, braking system, air pressure, and bearing related components.
Riders with a specific need, like a new tire or tube, bar tape wrapping, or pedal swaps, can use their appointment time for those tasks, with any remaining time going toward general adjustments.
If something cannot be serviced on site, mechanics will explain the best next step.
Safety checks are handled first come, first served regardless of advance registration, and this is a popular event, so arriving early is recommended to secure a spot in line.
