Author of more than a dozen books of poetry, Weigl’s early work deals with the horror of his experience in the Vietnam War. His more recent work explores themes of family and childhood. His Buddhist practice influences his compassionate and unflinching attention to what he terms 'ordinary people in extraordinary situations.” Weigl’s many other awards include the Lannan Literary Award for Poetry, the Paterson Poetry Prize, and the Poet’s Prize from the Academy of American Poets. His book Song of Napalm (1998) was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. A book signing session will conclude the evening.

The school is located at 36 Charter Rd., Acton, just west of the intersection of Rtes. 27 and 111. The event is free with plenty of parking.
