The Boston Summer Eats program provides nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost to children and teens across the city while school is out of session for the summer.

Co-implemented by the Mayor's Office of Food Justice, Boston Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services, Boston Centers for Youth and Families, the Greater Boston YMCA, and Project Bread, this innovative initiative expands food access and helps fill the summer meal gap.

All youth aged 18 and under are welcome to participate.

There are absolutely no ID, registration, or paperwork requirements—kids can simply walk up to any designated site during meal hours to receive a healthy meal.

Meals are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and comply with USDA nutritional standards, including fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and protein.

In addition to regular meal service, select host sites incorporate recreational activities and community programming throughout the summer.

Program details and site lists can change, so checking the online tracker or calling the Project Bread hotline (1-800-645-8333) before visiting is recommended.
