Join us for a day of woolly fun at Codman Farm's annual sheep-shearing event 'Spring on the Farm' on Sunday, April 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 in the Main Barn at 58 Codman Road, Lincoln.

Master hand-shearer Kevin Ford will give the Dorset sheep their annual haircuts, in a dramatic demonstration of a centuries-old agricultural craft.

Wool fleeces fresh from the sheep will be available for purchase, and there will be spinning, felting, and knitting demonstrations, as well as fiber arts and country crafts vendors. Visitors can stroll the farm and watch the antics of Codman's newborn lambs, kids, calves, and chicks, many of which are heritage breeds.

There will be light snacks for sale, along with the locally produced meats and eggs that are always available in the Codman Farm Store. Admission: $3 per person; $10 per family; children under 2 free. The event will take place rain or shine.

Check the CCF website
(www.codmanfarm.org) for more information. (No dogs, please.)
