Master hand-shearer Kevin Ford will give the Dorset sheep their annual haircuts, in a dramatic demonstration of a centuries-old agricultural craft.
Wool fleeces fresh from the sheep will be available for purchase, and there will be spinning, felting, and knitting demonstrations, as well as fiber arts and country crafts vendors. Visitors can stroll the farm and watch the antics of Codman's newborn lambs, kids, calves, and chicks, many of which are heritage breeds.
There will be light snacks for sale, along with the locally produced meats and eggs that are always available in the Codman Farm Store. Admission: $3 per person; $10 per family; children under 2 free. The event will take place rain or shine.

The farm is located at the intersection of Codman and Lincoln Roads in Lincoln, MA. The farm is within walking distance of the commuter rail station in Lincoln. By car, take Trapelo Road west from Route 128 (I-95) to the center of Lincoln; turn left on Lincoln Road; Codman Road is just past the Railroad tracks and before the police and fire stations.
