Pronk! Providence Honk Fest
PRONK!, (the Providence Honk Fest), is a volunteeer-run street band festival held every fall.
|Dates:||Monday, October 14, 2019|
|Category:||Fairs & Festivals|
PRONK! creates a heartfelt antidote to mainstream culture by inviting people from all walks of life to come together for a day set aside for the celebration of music.
The event aims to blur social boundaries between audience and performers as well as between musical genres, resulting in a joyous reclamation of public space.
Enjoy a cacophonous street celebration with out of town brass bands! This is a street intervention like no other, with outfits and misfits from Rhode Island and beyond – musicians, artists, activists, makers, and groups from around Providence – taking over South Water Street as part of the Providence HONK Parade.
Check website for new parade route this year.
Everyone is invited! National and international bands.
Performances at India Point Park and on the Providence River.
