This year is the 50th Annual Strawberry Festival. Bowls and bowls of fresh strawberries, whipped cream and piles of shortcakes are prepared and served by our volunteer members.Featuring over 60 juried handcraft artisans including visual artists, potters, jewelry-makers, natural products, fabric artists, and creators of whimsy, the Festival attracts nearly 5,000 visitors from across New England with its free parking and fun for the whole family.
Freshly prepared strawberries scooped on hand-cut biscuits crowned with fresh whipped cream tempt visitors while musical performances set an upbeat tone.
For newcomers this can be their first introduction to our small town life - all the local groups such as the Garden Clubs, the Friends of the Library, the Newcomers Club are among many others available to explain their activities and invite new members.
