The Foxborough Street Painting Festival will return on Saturday, May 14 from 12-6 p.m. This popular annual event, hosted throughout Patriot Place in conjunction with the Foxborough Public Schools Arts Department and Foxborough Dental Associates, brings the community together for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating local art.
Registered participants are each assigned a 5’ by 5’ square located throughout Patriot Place to transform into a creative piece of art, all centered around this year’s theme of “Storytime.”
Each registered artist will receive a box of color chalk pastels to create their work of art directly on the Patriot Place walkway.
Upon completion of the festival, Pat Patriot and Dr. Victor Leung of Foxborough Dental Associates will present over $2,000 in awards and trophies for several different categories.
In this celebration of street painting artists of all ages, 21 total awards will be given out to the top-three finishers in seven different categories.
Any interested participants can register for just $25 at www.foxboroughstreetpainting.com/applications. Please note that spaces are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
After hosting the inaugural festival in 2015, Patriot Place will now host this popular spring event for the sixth time this May alongside Foxborough Dental Associates and the FPS Arts Department.
Foxborough High School senior art students Abby Costa, Ally Jansen and Brian Hawrycliw will help plan and organize the event as part of their senior capstone project.
Patriot Place will also host a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day, including caricature and balloon artists, live musical performances, special appearances by Pat Patriot and more.
