This is a special year for the Festival, as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the invention of Fluff in Somerville’s Union Square.
The 12th anniversary of this madcap festival will celebrate the invention of marshmallow Fluff with fun and zany activities including games for all ages, live music, Fluff treats, a cooking contest and more.
This year’s new additions are a Fluff Costume Contest, and in honor of our FluffCentennial theme, Invention Alley, where the Somerville High Robotics Team and Artisans Asylum are teaming up to bring great activities like laser printing, the 3Doodler pen, vinyl cut designs, robotics and more.
Approximately 15,000 visitors of all ages from across Greater Boston and beyond will be joining in the fun.
The Festival is produced by Union Square Main Streets in partnership with the Somerville Arts Council’s ArtsUnion.
