Experience Gore Place’s celebrated spring event, the Sheepshearing Festival, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (RAIN OR SHINE).

This unique event takes place on one of the last farms in Greater Boston, just nine miles west of the city!

Since 1987, this annual festival has entertained guests with music, handmade goods by local crafters and fiber artists, demonstrations of traditional shearing, herding dogs, and historic re-enactors—all on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate.

According to Executive Director and festival organizer Susan Robertson, “We’re proud that the Sheepshearing Festival has become a New England spring tradition for so many.

People often tell us that spring doesn’t begin until the Sheepshearing Festival!”

The Festival will feature hands-on activities for children and adults, food vendors, and free satellite parking and shuttle service.

General admission is $20 and children 12 and under will be admitted free.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Advance tickets will be available online beginning March 20.

No pets allowed.
