Hub on Wheels Citywide Bike Ride & Festival
Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the City of Boston are excited to announce a new multi-year partnership with EF Education First to present the 2019 Hub On Wheels citywide ride!
This year's ride, benefitting Boston Children’s Hospital and the fight against kids cancer, will be capped at 5,000 entries. $5 from every registration automatically benefits Boston Children's Hospital, but we encourage you to donate more if you are able.
You can also guarantee your entry by registering as a Hope Rider individual or team, with special ride-day perks.
Choose from one of two great routes:
Emerald Necklace Route
A 45-mile journey down car-free Storrow Drive and across the historic Emerald Necklace park system, exploring scenic views of The Riverway, Jamaica Pond, Arnold Arboretum, Franklin Park, Stoney Brook Reservation, Neponset River pathways and many of Boston’s vibrant neighborhoods and memorable landmarks.
Registration for the Emerald Necklace Route is $55 ($50 during early bird registration period) and riders must be 16 or older to participate. College students (with a valid school ID) can register for the Emerald Necklace Route for $25 ($20 during early bird).
12 Miles… 0 Cars! Explore the heart of the city by bike, pedaling down Storrow Drive and past iconic landmarks like Fenway Park, Boston Common, the State House, Faneuil Hall and more.
Registration for the Downtown Route is just $15 for adults ($10 during early bird)... and kids 8-17 ride FREE with an accompanying adult or guardian.
Both routes travel along CAR-FREE Storrow Drive, and start and finish on City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston., followed by a post-ride community festival on City Hall Plaza. The celebration will feature the New Belgium Beer Garden, free Boloco burritos for all riders, live music and fun for the whole family!
A portion of your registration fee will automatically benefit Boston Children's Hospital, but consider becoming a Hope Rider (or creating your own bike team!) to help raise even more funds to fight kids cancer.
Make it a family fundraiser! Kids (10-17) ride free on the car-free Downtown Route, so 100% of the money they raise can go straight to fighting kids cancer.
