SpeakEasy Stage Company proudly kicks off its bold 36th season with the gripping Boston premiere of 'Covenant.' Written by the talented York Walker and brought to life under the direction of Artistic Director Dawn M. Simmons, this spellbinding Southern Gothic thriller unravels a complex web of faith, fear, and human deception.

The story centers on Johnny 'Honeycomb' James, who unexpectedly returns to his small hometown completely changed, newly famous, and accompanied by a deeply unsettling, unexplainable energy.

While his extraordinary new musical voice is undeniably real, a wave of loud rumors begins to rapidly consume the community.

In a strict town that remembers everything and forgives absolutely nothing, Johnny's presence cracks open buried secrets and sparks dangerous new accusations.

Soon, the line between folklore and reality completely blurs, forcing everyone to decide what they truly believe when the actual truth feels far too inconvenient to face.
