Winter Camp was created to provide free opportunities for children and families during February school vacation. In 2023, we are excited to offer a wide range of activities across Massachusetts, including zoos, ice skating, snowshoeing, stadium tours, and more.
Our annual Children’s Winter Festival returns to the Boston Common on Wednesday February 22 and we hope our program provides access and opportunity for all!
Highland Street Foundation is pleased to partner with the following organizations to provide FREE opportunities
during February school vacation week.
Please note that some of these activities require advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis and have limited capacity.

• Mass Audubon’s Boston Nature Center: Snowshoeing / Winter Walk
500 Walk Hill Street, Mattapan
Hours: 1:00 - 2:30 PM
Explore the trails at Boston Nature Center on this beginner level snowshoeing adventure.
During the walk, we will look for winter animal signs and learn about animal adaptations that are similar to the
snowshoes we are wearing.
Please note if there is not enough snow this will be a guided winter walk.
