Bring your young paleontologists and stargazers to the Blake Planetarium for 'Dinosaurs Under the Summer Stars,' an immersive educational presentation that combines prehistoric giants with cosmic exploration. The first half of the program features 'Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival.' Audiences will follow Celeste, a young girl preparing a class presentation on dinosaur extinction, and her magical guide, Moon.
Together, they journey back through Earth's history to witness the evolution of fascinating dinosaurs—from armored defenders to towering predators—experience the dramatic asteroid impact, and discover how some dinosaurs survived to live among us today.
In the second half, the planetarium director will lead an interactive tour of the early summer night sky.
Guests will learn to locate the brilliant stars and constellations of the season, with a special focus on the scorpion constellation, and will learn how to use a simple partial-sky star map to keep stargazing at home.
