Great Experience With The FamilyWe went to Connors farm at tne end of August, one day before the apple picking day opened and called in advance and we were allowed to pick apples and peaches. Everyone was friendly the prices were great. There were tables for picnic and a few animals my son 6 enjoyed looking at. Although the farm is small, it was not crowded and very welcoming for families looking to experience apple picking without spending megabucks as other places charge way too much. I am planning to go again and bring some friends. The baked goods are great too.
Sold Out For 2008We went to Connor's Farm yesterday (Oct. 5) and they were all sold out of apples! They had some bags of already-picked apples in the store, but the trees in the orchard were empty except for some underripe or diseased looking few that were left. Despite that, we enjoyed picking pumpkins, watching the tractor, geese, and pony rides, having doughnuts and cider, and playing in the mini maze and sandbox. They even had a fire and marshmallows to roast, for free. Given that there is no charge (unless you buy something) I'd say this is a pretty good deal, especially if you're already on the North Shore. Our daughter, who is almost 3, did not want to leave. But, if you want to pick apples, you should try somewhere else this year.
Not Worth TheWent here with my son a few weeks ago- he's 3 1/2. The lady who worked there was rude and abrupt and when I asked where the bathroom was- she rolled her eyes. The farm is small and without alot of selection and the store was unbelievably overpriced. I spent $30 and was done in ten minutes. If you need apples- fine, but if you are looking for something to do with kids this isn't the place.
