The City of Quincy will celebrate Labor Day weekend and America's 250th anniversary with a special fireworks display over Quincy Bay, honoring the generations of working men and women who helped build America over the past 250 years.Mayor Thomas P. Koch announced the fireworks as a tribute to the workers whose contributions are an important part of Quincy's and America's history, from the city's granite industry and shipyards to the tradespeople who continue to build the community today.
Families can gather along Wollaston Beach or anywhere in Quincy's eastern neighborhoods overlooking the bay for a clear view of the show, which begins shortly after 8:00pm.
