Celebrate the summer with a free day of history, art, and nature!As part of the Highland Street Foundation's popular August Adventures program, Fruitlands Museum is opening its doors to all visitors for completely free admission.
Explore the unique history of the 210-acre pastoral landscape, which once hosted Amos Bronson Alcott’s 1843 Transcendentalist experiment in communal living.
Guests can tour the historic 1820s farmhouse where Louisa May Alcott lived as a young girl, view the comprehensive collections of Shaker art and artifacts in a historic 1790s Shaker building, and view magnificent Hudson River School landscape paintings and folk portraits in the art galleries.
Additionally, a special drop-in craft session will be held in the Family Learning Center, offering hands-on activities based on objects from the museum's 'Eye of the Beholder' exhibition.

Held at Fruitlands Museum, located at 102 Prospect Hill Road, Harvard, MA 01451. Accessible from the east and west via Route 2 to exit 109A, heading south on Route 110, then taking the first right onto Old Shirley Road. Parking is available on-site.

- Admission is completely free all day, but registration is recommended to help plan attendance. Be sure to dress comfortably for walking between the different historic buildings and exploring the miles of scenic hiking trails. The on-site Fruitlands Cafe will be open if you'd like to grab a bite to eat during your visit.
