Friendly's is a good place to catch a bite with the kids, and features the standard burgers, fries, and, of course ice cream. Certain meals can be on the large & heavy side, so you may want to split something to save room for ice cream.

Kids will like the children's menu that offers grilled cheese, burgers, hot dogs, mac n' cheese, and other kids classics. The entire meal, which includes a drink and dessert, is $3.99.

Based in Massachusetts, Friendly's has made its name by serving up simple fare and wicked-good Fribbles.

If the main course leaves the littlest diners stuffed, Friendly's will provide a voucher which entitles kids to a free sundae the next time you visit.
Other Kid-friendly touches include activity menus and crayons, and covered drinks with straws.

Friendly's In Stoneham

The service is the absolute worst! I went in with my husband and daughter for ice cream we wanted to sit at a table. There were three wait people serving the tables and 1 poor guy doing the ice cream line. The three people serving the tables were horrible. there were table empty but we stood at the front for a good 15 minutes during all that time NO ONE acknowledged us. We finally left and went somewhere else for ice cream. I won't go back to the Friendly's in Stoneham.

Service And Quality

A year ago my family of 4 went to our local Friendly's for breakfast arriving at 10:50. There were plenty of seats available, no line and no personnel to greet us. Finally at approx. 10:55 we were approached stating we could sit down but could no longer order breakfast and would have to wait 30 minutes for 'lunch' . Breakfast was supposed to be served until 11:00. We left never to return again until today at least a year later. My son had received a $20 gift card and we decided to give it another try. We were seated at a soaking wet table and booth seats that had just been cleared. My husband and I used 5 napkins to dry off our booth seats. The server was prompt. In taking our order she neglected to ask about a beverage for my husband and I and I had to flag her down. . She brought our 4 drinks that were not filled completely. The food arrived and both my husband and I had incredibly stale,dry rolls on our burgers. My food looked as if the cheese was melted an hour before. My youngest son's macaroni had chunks of dry, hard burned parts. None of us received pickles with anything and all our fries were par cooked and cold. We flagged her down to ask her to replace my son's meal. She came back 10 minutes later with a side saucer dish of macaroni never removing the original meal. She returned one other time to ask about their dessert. I received no refill on my $2.25 diet coke. She brought their dessert with the bill and never cleared half the plates from the table. We just sat in the mess so my boys could finish their ice cream. I regret we even had to spend $12.00 additional wasted dollars on such a place. I owned a restaurant for 11 years and have been in the service industry half my life. The pictures depicted on Friendly's menu are fraud. Needles to say we will not be going to that or any Friendly's ever again.
