The Paddock's extensive menu offers everything from steak tips and seafood, to chicken parmigiana and their excellent pizza.
The thin-crust pies here have a perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and oil, and they are quite similar to the pizzas at Villa Rosa in Quincy or even perhaps Pizzeria Regina. (Winner, Best Pizza in Boston Area, 2005).
If you are a pizza lover and don't want to deal with the parking hassles at Pizzeria Regina or East Boston's Santarpio's, head over to The Paddock for some pizza and get a taste of the Somerville of old.
The inside of The Paddock, a neighborhood restauarant if there ever was one, is old-fashioned comfortable, with vinyl booths and long tables lining the main room. The Paddock won't win any awards for ambiance but it is one of the true hidden gems of the Greater Boston area.
Come for the warm, friendly atmosphere and well-stocked bar; stay for pub classics like pizza, cheeseburgers, and onion rings.
