Pump It Up, 'The Inflatable Party Zone' is the new giant on the party block. For a price, partygoers enjoy the biggest, most elaborate inflatables you've ever seen. Huge slides, obstacle courses, even an inflated basketball court get kids (and adults) pumping with delight.

Bright carpets, colorful walls, and a great sound system enhance two huge, separate 'bouncing' rooms. Two additional party rooms feature inflated thrones and dining tables for pizza and cake.

Family Jump Time
Family Jump Time is 1.5 hours of play -- no pizza! -- for ages 2-10 with a parent or guardian on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:00am (during the school year, excluding legal and school holidays). All other times are reserved for parties.

Parties
Up to three parties can rotate through PIUP at a time. Partygoers bounce, climb and slide in one 'arena,' then move in an organized fashion (shoes are even rolled in with you!) to a whole new selection of inflatables. Finally, exhausted but happy revelers retire to pizza (on plates and ready to devour), drinks, and cake. Pleasant, helpful staff organize, supervise, set up, and clean up EVERYTHING.

Several party packages are available, including invitations, supplies, trained staff, pizza and drinks, and even goody bags. Other packages are available for field trips and fundraisers. Check the website for a complete overview and pricing.

Safety
Participants are required to submit a waiver and watch a saftey video before they enter the 'zone.' Children under 34inches must have an adult with them on equipment. Every inflatable --and that's a lot -- is sanitized after each group use, as are the party rooms -- down to door handles!

PIUP's equipment is serviced by licenced amusement mechanics, and is regulated by the Department of Public Heatlh. Two trained attendants monitor each arena during use.

Over The Top Price Wise, Thu 10 Sep 2009

This was the 3rd birthday party we hosted at pump it up, Shrewsbury within the last 2 years. This party cost close to $200 more than the others. The grand total for 22 kids was $480. Previous parties were packaged with pizza, balloons, drinks, ice cream and party rooms at a set price. Now, the party rooms alone cost close to the same price as the old packages, without any food or drinks. You are only allowed to bring in a birthday cake. Everything else including goody bags (new rule), balloons, food and drinks must be purchased at pump it up. A major concern is safety. Although there are staff in the rooms 6 kids managed to need ice packs. The coin operated air hockey game was the last straw. This was a surprise since the machine wasn't there last time. After paying this amount of money, I have kids going to their parents and us asking for quarters to play the game. It was embarrassing. After all you don't expect your guests to pay for things at your kids party. We've had parties at Magic World, Little Gym, Hebert's Candy Mansion, Davis Farmland, Claytime, Chuck E Cheese among others. Never costing more than $300 usually are around $250. Some included the food and drink, and others allowed you to bring in your own. I called after the party to double check the bill, thinking maybe the deposit didn't get deducted or something. It's was right! The owner was completed unconcerned with our opinion on the new system and informed us that this is the going rate in the area, and if I had parties out before I would know that. His comment on the air hockey machine was that it isn't going anywhere and it must pay for itself by being coin operated. He said 'next time bring quarters for the kids'. The safety issue also fell on deaf ears. The kids liked all the parties we've had so far, the real favorite was Magic World is Shrewsbury. Great show, party room and the moonwalk outside that is included is super.

Great Value For Birthdays, Wed 21 Jan 2009

We have three kids, twin boys 7 , and 5 year old girl and have been to Pump iT Up in Peabody 5 times in the last 4 months, ugh!, but I have to say I could not be more impressed with the facility and staff. We just had our second Birthday party there, both with large groups of both children and adults, and the staff and organization could not have been better. The place is super clean and the entire process from check-in and video, to the safe fun the kids have in the two play arenas, to the way the staff handles the party (food) room for our group has been consistently well done. I know that is not necessarily to easy to do these days with staffing. My wife is a security fanatic and the way that Pump it Up focuses on safety and security is not something that she has seen done that well. They walked all of our late-comers back to our private group at Pump it Up and noone comes in without signing the waiver and watching the video. If a private well supervised and fun gig is what you are looking for this place does a pretty good job. Our last event had over 40 people and it cost us under $300 for 2 hours of orchestrated fun with cake.

At least it's clean and safe, Wed 16 Apr 2008

I've been to other inflatable venues that did not feel safe at all; this one does. The Pump it Up bathrooms are pristine, and the staff tries hard to be nice and helpful. The only problem I've found is lack of parking at the Peabody location; gets challenging if you don't arrive in advance of a scheduled party, or if the last party's guests haven't pulled out.

Unimpressed, Tue 15 Apr 2008

I've heard so much about Pump It Up that I was looking forward to finally seeing the inside. But I have to say that I was very disappointed when I got there. I've been to other indoor inflatable party places in the area, and the other places had bigger, newer equipment, and more room to spread out. Pump It Up showed a safety video before we went in, but then the kids and 'adults' don't follow any of the rules. (and the staff just stood there talking to each other and didn't stop anyone) I couldn't believe that they wanted us to pay for the arcade games and air hockey! The party rooms were nice and clean, as were the restrooms. The pizza wasn't all that good. Overall, not worth the hype. There are better options if you want indoor inflatables.

Pump It Up Peabody, Sat 27 Oct 2007

I found Pump it Up in Peabody to be an excellent choice for birthday parties. They handled simultaneous parties well and there was plenty of pleasant staff who were nice to the kids especially ( I have found the opposite to be true at other venues where there are childrens' group activities). The facility was spotless and the children were supervised well by staff when using the recreation equipment. The party attendants were helpful but unobtrusive. Safety also seems to be the first priority at Pump it Up. I would recommend it to any parent of a small child.

Fun Place, Wed 1 Aug 2007

It seems Pump It Up is the new Birthday party scene. At least the one in Shrewsbury must be doing well. My 2 daughters have been invited to 5 in the past 2 weeks. The site is clean and fairly well supervised. The bathrooms are immaculate (a very nice touch). The Pump it up party experience is well-structured and the play inflatables are good. My daughter (7 years old) felt that the moon bounce wasn't bouncy enough and I'd agree. The boys get a bit wild. But overall, this is a great place for a party.
