The Met is an interactive children's museum serving Derry and surrounding commuities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Our mission here is to establish, provide and maintain a private, non-profit hands-on museum for all young children, their families, schools, and teachers.

Our space is filled with fun and developmental-oriented actiities, and we have an outdoor garden area. We run a variety of programs and workshops all year round (except for two weeks annual closure in early September). Family memberships to the Met make us an excellent value

Daily Programs each Week
Admission or membership includes these programs.

Wednesday, 1:00 PM Story Time
Every Wednesday at The Met we have Story Time. This program is for children preschool to kindergarten age. The group gathers in the welcome center or activity room depending on the size of the group. The program leader reads a story and then assists the children with a take home craft that reinforces the theme of the program.

Friday, 10:00 AM Toddler Time
Every Friday (unless noted) Mrs. Kandel leads Toddler Time. This program is designed for children ages one to four. Mrs. Kandel leads a sing along that encourages movement and participation and then assists parent and toddler with a take home craft.

$5.00 per person over the age of one, under one is free
Fridays: Families are $9.00 after 5:00 PM, Grandparents are free after 1:00 PM

We are located at the rear (#24) of the large building at 6 West Broadway (Rt. 102) in downtown Derry NH. Get here by turning on to Abbot Court from West Broadway. Parking is in the municipal lot on the right, just past our door. View Map
