5-starMini Cup Birthday Parties
We had our sons 6th birthday party at Checkered Flag this weekend. All of our guests said it was one of the best parties they have ever gone too! The mini cup race cars were a hit! the children were able to race on a cool new mini track for almost the full two hours w/ the excption of pizza and cake time. Allie our pary host was amazing. I found the party to be a great time and value. For the $16.95 per person It included everything but the cake. Each of the kids also got a checkered flag baseball cap to take home. I highly reccomend Checkered Flag !!!!!!! My son can't wait to book again next year!
5-starGreat Valuegreat Placekudos For Lower Prices In This Economy
I think great kudos needs to be given to a place like Checkered Flag who have lowered their prices to meet the economic climate that exists today! This place is a great fun time for little money...this is a whole different experience from Jay Gees with abilities to see where you place in a race, what your best lap is, and to go much faster on a much more challenging track for comparable pricing....what a no brainer....visit Checkered Flag!
5-starwow - what a place
I took my kids there over the weekend. this place is great. the prices are more than reasonable at $10 per race all the time. we did a bunch of races and what a blast we had. one of the best family values i've seen around.
5-starLeagues And Special Events
For the 'serious racers' out there: thoguht you might like to know that CFIK now have endurance races for both juniors and adults. Junior races are 50 laps, adult races are 100 laps. Very competitive, run by a staff member that has real racing expirence! It's a really good time for everyone. Junior league races are held onsaturday mornings and they're trying to get an adult summer league together for Tuesday nights. If your interested more in the racing side of this than the amusement, you have to try either an endurance race or a league race!
4-starGreat Racing - Good things come in small packages
The staff is great! this is a family run business so they take great pride in the facilty. They have updated their pricing and packages to be more accommodating. the track is small but with the new config it is very challanging. Heard rumors of a great family package coming soon. It has racing and food for a great price. All in all a great place to go and have some fun.
5-starBest Birthday Party Ever For My 7 Year Old
We had my son's birthday party there and he and his friends LOVED it. You get a party room set up with table and decorations and it's own slot car track, plastic racer helmets, pizza and drinks, and 2 hours exclusive use of the mini-go-karts. I must admit when we went to check it out a couple weeks before, I thought the little circular track they had was too small, but the kids (all 7 years old) loved it. All of them kept telling my son it was the best birthday party they had ever been too. Wow. The owners have said they are looking to expand the track into a little bigger area, but even as it is, the kids had a blast. I also went for a spin on the adult track, the kids cheered and did the wave - they thought it was pretty cool how I came out in a racing suit and helmet. All in all I would highly reccomend this for a racing theme party ... nice family-run place, really friendly staff, and most important of all, a great time for my son and his friends!
5-starNew Reduced Prices Affordable
We went to check out Checkered Flag with our 13yr old son this weekend. I was thrilled to find out they have reduced their prices! The License fee was only $5.00 and the racing prices have been considerably lowered. They also have great rates on Tuesday and Wednesday, $10.00 races all day for Jrs. and Adults. Its wonderful to see a business lowering their prices when everyone is going up! We had a great time, not to mention the racing was fantastic and the track very competitive. I would recommend this for great, now affordable family entertainment.
1-starThanks For The Info
I am going there today with my youngest one for a birthday party. My husband and oldest daughter were going to go and have some fun while we were at the party, but not at that price. They can stay home and go for a walk in the woods or have a bonfire. With today's economy you just can't be throwing money out the window on overpriced family fun.
5-starGreat Race Track
I noticed that other people have mentioned that the cost to race is expensive. After checking out the race track for myself I question how someone can say, 'why can't signing up be $3 or free?'. The $10 charge is a ONE-TIME charge for signing up. This includes the driver's license and head sock that you receive. It also includes the time of the employees to enter each racer's information into the computer. You get to keep your license so the next time you race, the process will be easier and cheaper! And no one should compare the price of racing now to the price of racing 10 or 20 years ago. If the price of milk and water is going to increase, then you should probably assume that the cost of racing is going to increase as well. Another note, the race cars used are top quality and not your typical race cars at Salisbury beach. If racing was $5 then you would not be racing in those cars and would not get the same quality experience. For the family of four, there are special packages which include multiple races AND food. Again, this isn't mini golf or some cheap go carting place on the beach so you should expect to pay a little more. This is not an aburd price when you really look at what you are getting. I loved the track. The staff was super nice and the experience was wholesome! I will definately return!
3-starCheckered Flag Is Highly Overpriced
I agree with everything the other reviewer stated to a tee. Not only is everything overpriced but the track is small if you ask me...you might as well go to the real F1 in Braintree with 2 tracks to choose from or wait until the summertime and go to Jay Gee's on Rt. 110. No wonder it was almost empty!!!
