The museum thrives on making and presenting work that is fresh, surprising, and challenging. It is the perfect place to expose the children to what's happening now in the art world.
KIDSPACE
11 AM - 4 PM for viewing. Art-making activities available on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Kidspace at MASS MoCA, a collaborative project of the Williams College Museum of Art, the Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute, and MASS MoCA, is a contemporary art gallery and studio space in the heart of the MASS MoCA complex designed especially for students, teachers, and families.
For the public, art-making opportunities are embedded in Kidspace exhibitions, making it possible for visitors to process their understanding of art by creating artistic responses while viewing the artwork—an experience that is rare in museums and galleries. Art projects relate to Kidspace exhibition themes and may involve similar art materials or artistic processes used by exhibiting artists.
