Others to Consider: One Stop Fun, Discovery Stop, Chuck E. Cheese, Imajine That!, Playspace at the Atrium MallPolkadot Playhouse is fairly small and nondescript from the outside, neatly tucked into a roadside plaza on Route 110 in Salisbury. But inside is another story. Yes, it is still small, but the space has been maximized to provide plenty of room for kids of all ages to play. Bright colors abound, and the choices of activities are almost overwhelming. This playspace is divided into five main sections:
Babies/crawlers/toddlers
This section is carpeted and mostly filled with soft foam blocks in all shapes. Scattered among the blocks are 'sit and spins,' Exersaucers, board books, small plastic playstations, and wooden toys. This area is a little crowded, and the occasional big kid will come charging through, causing mothers to scramble to grab their babies out of harm's way. But this is a good place to start playing if your child is on the cusp of baby/toddler.
Toddlers/Big kids (up to age 7)
Toward the back of the building is a more spacious area for older kids to run around (and toddlers to try to keep up with them). There is a 'step 2' plastic playground on one side, with a slide and tunnels; and a full kitchen set adjacent to it. In the center of this area are 3 tables: one covered with a Brio train set and two for playing with giant Legos. On the far side is a giant play area for the biggest kids -- those who are capable of climbing almost to the ceiling and crawling through shaky tunnels on their own. A big slide with a thick, foam landing pad completes the somewhat daunting structure.
Crafts
Between the two main play areas is the craft area. Several long tables are set up and myriad craft supplies are provided for making cards, masks, and rolling out dough.
Cafe
Okay, not really a cafe, but impressively close. Snacks (healthy and otherwise), as well as sodas, water and juice, are offered for around $1.00 each. Tables and chairs are set up next to a big sink, making clean-ups easy.
Party Room
The Party Room is a big, polkadot-covered 'house' in the back of the building. Parties are for up to 10 children and are priced as follows:
Tuesdays-Saturdays - $175
Sundays - $250
$5.00 per each additional child.
A Polkadot Playhouse party includes invitations, crafts, paper products, juice boxes, goodie bags, ice cream, and set up/clean up.

I Liked It, Sat 29 Jul 2006
It was pretty cool for my kids. I have a 2 yr old and 7 yr old and they were both entertained. It's small enough so you can keep an eye on them. I like the craft area and the fact you can eat snacks (you can bring your own). I think it was great!
