Storytime at the Museums - Growing Up in the 19th Century At the Jackson Homestead

This week preschoolers and their caregivers will get a glimpse into 19th century life with The Ox Cart Man.

They will get to interact with household items from our collection and learn about growing up in Newton in the 19th century at the Jackson Homestead.

- Free for kids (18 months to 6 years old), parents, & caregivers.
- Programs include reading from children's book, activity, & museum takeaway.

- Focus on play, Newton history, literacy, & lessons from our two museums.

The Jackson Homestead and Museum has a parking lot and is located on Washington Street at the corner of Jackson Road. Take exit 17 from the Mass Pike.
