The free event will feature an appearance by Santa Claus and live entertainment including The United States Air Force Brass Band Quintet, Boston Children's Chorus and holiday caroling. The highlight will be the lighting of the tree when The Old South Church bells will toll when the lights are turned on.
Light refreshments will be provided by local businesses and the Fairmont Copley Plaza will host a family reception immediately following for attendees.
In addition to the tree lighting, a number of other festivities will take place in and around Copley Square on November 30. The Boston Public Library will host a Story Hour at 2:30 p.m.
followed by a Children’s Holiday Tea hosted by the Courtyard Restaurant at the Boston Public
Library at 3:30 p.m.
The entire square will be decorated with festive wreaths decorated with bright red bows.
