The festival honors the major role the fishing schooner has played in the heritage of Gloucester and along the eastern seaboard.
Immerse yourself in the history and the beauty of these ships and experience a tradition and art form that dates back to the early 1700’s.
In addition to these great events, the Gloucester Schooner Festival will have fireworks, a Parade of Sail, the Mayor’s Race and much more!

Route 128 North ends in Gloucester, with several exits to choose from. Route 128 and Interstate 95 are the same highway from southern Massachusetts until Peabody, MA. In Peabody, Route 95 branches off toward New Hampshire and Maine. When traveling north on Interstate 95/Rte. 128, you must stay on Route 128 by keeping to the left at this point (this is exit #45).
