Nolan Howard, a spirited 5-year-old, will host his 3rd Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand as part of the National Lemonade Days weekend, Saturday, June 13, 2009 and Sunday, June 14, 2009, from 11am-3pm, 3 Cuba Street in Andover, Mass.

The Howard family decided to get involved with the foundation after a friend’s seven-month old son, Cian Crowley of Quincy, Mass, lost his battle with Neuroblastoma, the same cancer that took the life of Alexandra “Alex” Scott. To date, Nolan’s efforts have resulted in nearly $6000 being raised to fight devastating childhood cancer, in the name and memory of baby Cian.

Lemonade Days is a three-day national event that grew out of Alex Scott’s front yard lemonade stand and is held every year over the same June weekend. During Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research in one weekend. June 2009 will mark the 6th Annual Lemonade Days with an estimated 10,000 volunteers at over 2,000 Alex’s Lemonade Stands around the nation.
