Music, games, and ice cream are on the menu as we celebrate the beginning of summer! Please bring a chair or blanket to set out on the lawn.
The barbecue will feature southern-style ribs, chicken, cornbread, chili, hot dogs and more as well as live music.
Advance tickets are available by visiting A Little Something… located at 196 Washington St., Walpole. Tickets are $8 for children ages 12 and younger and $15 for adults.
All proceeds from the barbecue will benefit the Bird Park Playground Project and Fisher House Boston.
Bird Park’s annual Ice Cream Social will immediately follow the barbecue event from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Gather family and friends, meet neighbors and enjoy free ice cream sundaes. Children’s games and live music will be enjoyed by all ages.
At Francis William Bird Park. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

From the I-95/Rt. 128 split in Canton, take I-95 South toward Providence, RI. Take Exit 10 and turn right onto Coney St. heading toward Walpole. Follow for 0.8 mi. (crossing over Rt. 1 at traffic light) and proceed to one of three parking areas: Polley Lane (60 cars), Pleasant St. (10 cars), or Rhoades Ave. (25 cars).
