From August 1st through 31st, every time a child (aged 18 years old or younger) receives a haircut at any of the nearly 900 Hair Cuttery salons, including the 35 locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, a free haircut will be provided to a disadvantaged child in each community.
In Massachusetts, Hair Cuttery is partnering with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Participating Hair Cutterys include salons in Cambridge, Brookline, Arlington, Watertown, Waltham, Framingham, Medford, Hudson, Worcester, Revere, Saugus, Wareham, Westfield, Westborough, Woburn and Springfield.
“We believe a new haircut on the first day of school can help a child feel more confident and can make a big difference to start the next academic year,” said Dennis Ratner, Founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. “And we believe that every child deserves that.”
