Join friends of Reach Out and Read at the 8th annual Read and Romp-- a unique family event that allows children to travel through the pages of some of their favorite storybooks.

This fun family event includes raffle prizes for Mom and Dad, a visit from storybook characters including Clifford the Big Red Dog, and a buffet lunch with children's musical entertainment!

Experience activity booths, games, and arts & crafts based on family favorites including 12 storybook-themed stations with fun children’s activities. Each child receives a gift bag with a book, toys, and other goodies.

Meet and greet with:
- Norman Bridwell, Clifford creator
- Peter Reynolds, children’s author and illustrator of the Judy Moody series
- Hallie Durand, author of Dessert First
- Beth Raisner Glass, author of Blue Ribbon Dad
- Buffet lunch with musical entertainment by Stacey Peasley
- Raffle and online auction with a chance to win great prizes

Activities are best suited for children ages 2-10

Read and Romp benefits Reach Out and Read, the nonprofit literacy organization that prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together.

Time: 10:30 am- 2:00 pm
Location: The Seaport Hotel, Boston, MA

Appropriate age range: Families with children ages 2-8.
Fee: $50 per person/$60 at the door
