Mass Theatrica performs Amahl and the Night Visitors at The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre at LynnArts. The one-act opera was composed specifically for young imaginations and is only an hour long.
This holiday story is one of the most popular American operas. It was written for TV in 1951 by Gian Carlo Menotti, who incorporated the magical sounds he remembered from his mountain village in Italy.
Mass Theatrica is an innovative performing arts company dedicated to bringing a variety of theatre arts genres to the masses, including plays, musical theatre, operetta and opera.
