In addition to the best pumpkin picking on Cape Cod, “Kid’s Fest” will include many other fun-filled family activities, including Tractor Rides, the Jack-O-Lantern Obstacle Course (New for 2014), and a not-too-scary hike through the Haunted Forest.
“Halloween Kids Fest” will be held from 11am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of October, beginning October 11 (also open Monday, October 13, Columbus Day).
Tractor Rides begin at 11 am and leave the Farm Stand approximately every 15 minutes.
Guests board the open-air tram and travel along the historic dirt roads over the 33-acre farm.
Along the way, patrons will get unique views of Andrews’ famous strawberry fields, corn fields, and the enormous pumpkin patch, loaded with ripe pumpkins.
The highlight of the ride is a sweeping, panoramic view of the beautiful Coonamesset River, from a vantage point unavailable from any road in Falmouth.
Before returning to the Farm Stand, the tram will stop at the entrance to the Haunted Forest, deep in the woods behind the farm.
While not startling, some children may still be frightened, and parents are urged to use their own discretion prior to buying a ticket to enter.
Children will see skeletons, monsters, and inanimate creatures as they wind their way through the 1,000-foot long pathway through the forest.
There are no live actors and minimal sound effects in the forest.
Guests may walk to the Haunted Forest from the Farm Stand if they choose to skip the tractor ride, as it is just a short distance from the farm stand.
The daytime version of the Haunted Forest is recommended for children 10 and under, and photography is encouraged.
Admission to Kids Fest at Andrews' Farm is free for all and children must be chaperoned.
Tractor Rides, Jack-O-Lantern Obstacle Course, and the Haunted Forest are $3.00 each per person.
Tickets for both attractions will be sold behind the Farm Stand at the Box Office.
