In two weeks we will perform our first-ever concert of piano “novelty” pieces beloved in an earlier era coupled with novelty songs from many generations.

Dizzy Fingers – Piano Pyrotechnics and Delectable Ditties brings together the witty and tricky piano pieces of Zez Confrey and other leading composers of the style with popular novelty songs.

The more recognizable songs will include 'Come On-a My House' by Ross Bagdasarian and William Saroyan from The Son, 1950, 'Whistle While You Work' by Frank Churchill and Larry More from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, 1937, and Irving Berlin's 'I Love A Piano' (1913).

Featured performers include Margaret Ulmer, Steve Sussman, Bradford Conner, pianos with Cynthia Mork, Eric Bronner,Bradford Conner, Benjamin Sears, vocals and Zack Chadwick, piccolo and Eli Newberger, tuba.

Concerts are Friday April 25 at 7:30 at the Follen Community Church, 755 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington andSunday April 27 at 3:00 at the Pickman Concert Hall of the Longy School of Music, 27 Garden Street in Cambridge.
