Train and model railroad enthusiasts won’t want to miss Wenham Museum’s 19th Annual Model Railroad Hobby Show held at the Buker School, a short walk or drive from the museum. More than 75 dealer tables will be filled with everything from equipment and memorabilia to toys, books, and photographs.

Families will enjoy a visit with The Train to Maine children's author, Jamie Spencer at 10:30am at the hobby show or at 1:30pm at the museum. You may reserve a book in advance by contacting the museum. Enjoy lunch or a snack at The Depot Snack Bar.

Take the Train to see the Trains by taking the Newburyport Commuter Train north to the Hamilton stop. The museum is about a mile's walk from the train station. The event is held at the Buker School which is within walking distance or a short drive from the museum.

After the Hobby Show, visit the museum’s special exhibition Train Time 15, A Celebration of Model Railroading at Wenham Museum, open through January 20.

Trainiacs mark your calendars for a ride on the Lego Train model train display January 17-19.

While at the museum, enjoy Face Time: Felt Art Masks exhibition; Basic Black fashion exhibition and Agawam Homestead Living Close to the Earth interactive exhibition. Tour the historic colonial home and marvel at the museum's world renowned international doll collection, doll houses, antique toys including an impressive collection of Britain's.

All exhibitions are family-friendly and most include hands-on interactives.

TO THE MUSEUM Driving:From points south: Take Route 128 north to exit 20-A (Route 1A - Hamilton). Follow Route 1A north for 2.3 miles. The Museum is on the right before the Wenham Town Hall.From points north: Take Route 95 South to Route 128 North. Then follow the directions as above.
Public Transportation:B&M Commuter Rail (Newburyport Line) to Hamilton-Wenham; 15-minute scenic walk south from the depot on Route 1A.
THE BUKER SCHOOL is located on School Street, less than a mile from the museum.
