Stand for Children in Massachusetts, an education advocay group, welcomes the public to 4th Annual Statewide Education Summit. At Reading Memorial High School.

Help shape 2008 policy initiatives, deepen your advocacy skills, and build relationships with members from across the state.

Registrants will
- Hear from state leadership on education initiatives.
- Network with citizen advocates, educators and leaders from 50 towns
- Learn how to make local and state changes that help children in your community
- Understand how education funding is calculated and distributed
- Learn how to talk effectively to lawmakers and the media
- Learn how to win a Proposition 2 1/2 campaign

From Route 128 (95) North or South: take Exit 38B North and proceed on route 28 North through the center of Reading. As you leave Reading Square, Old South Methodist Church will be on your left. Continue on Rt. 28 for approximately ¾ mile. Take first left off Birch Meadow Drive (Oakland Rd.). Take the first left which shows the football field on the right. Continue between the field house on the right and a science building on the left to find the parking lot.
From Route 93 take Exit 38. At the end of exit ramp head toward Reading Square on Route 129 East. When you arrive at Old South Methodist Church, keep left in front of the church (continuation of 129) and at the traffic lights (at end of church block) turn left onto Rt. 28. At next set of working traffic lights, turn left onto Birch Meadow Drive. Take first left off Birch Meadow Drive (Oakland Rd.) Take the first left which shows the football field on the right. Continue between the field house on the right and a science building on the left to find the parking lot.
