From backstage to the balcony and everything in between, Boston Lyric Opera is giving you an all-access pass to experience opera in a casual, exciting new way. Activities that will appeal to all ages will include performances, backstage and dressing room tours, demonstrations, an aria competition for teens, and more.

Our 3.5 and 5 year old had a great time seeing backstage and on stage. Enjoyed the opera glasses craft and the dress up. Even said the 30 minute opera performance was their favorite part!

The first open house the Lyric Opera has ever done, this was a great family event. We enjoyed the backstage tour, the dressing up and making opera glasses activities, and being in the conductor's spot very much. The half hour 'greatest hits' performance was perfect - they explained how opera works, sang well-known tunes and gave enough plot and character information to keep us all fascinated. However, the best part was the incredibly warm welcome and genuine desire to share and explain everyone there had. Made it a truly memorable day for our family.
