The 48th annual Wake Up the Earth Festival will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM.

Parades will start at 11:00 AM from Curtis Hall and at 11:30 AM from the Egleston Square Peace Garden.

WAKE UP THE EARTH combines the May Day traditions of multicultural celebration, social and
economic justice and love for Mother Earth. Our goal is the Beloved Community. Get ready to Spring into action!

The annual Wake Up the Earth Festival (WUTE) takes place each year on the first Saturday in May and is currently attended by well over 10,000 individuals of all ages and features several stages including the music and dance performances, Popular Theatre, the Youth Stage.

In addition to performances, WUTE features over 50 craft, non-profit, and food vendors. The festival is anchored by a massive parade (with branches that start in JP Center and Roxbury) with several thousand people marching.
